Utah Department of Agriculture and Food (UDAF) regulates manufactured food, retail food, milk, dairy and produce.  The entry level classification utilized by UDAF is:

Environmental Health Scientist I
Annual Salary Range:  $35,568 – $56,347

Minimum Qualifications: (1) Bachelor of Science Degree, or higher, in a related field of study; (2) Licensure as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist/Scientist; (3) Adequate visual acuity is required; (4) Requires use of special safety precautions and/or equipment, e.g., working around operating machines, working with contagious diseases or hazardous chemicals, etc.; (5) valid driver license required to drive a motor vehicle on a highway in this state per UCA53-3-202(1)(a); and (6) Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
