How to Obtain a State Job:
The State of Michigan uses a vacancy-driven system to fill positions. Available job openings are posted on the state’s Civil Service Commission job vacancy page and can be filtered to focus on positions or departments of interest (or you can select the other link, which will take you directly to jobs with the Department of Agriculture). Applicants should create a profile by selecting “How to Apply” in the Menu sidebar and follow the instructions. First-time users will need to create an account and can build and save a profile for future job openings. Note: For job openings where college credits or a degree is required, a copy of the applicant’s official transcript must be attached to the application.
