The Family Support Division is seeking applicants to fill Project Coordinator (Senior Program Specialist) positions within the Project Management Office. The base for this position will be negotiable dependent on the applicant selected and office capacity. All internal promotional applicants are encouraged to apply as there may be alternate office space available. This is a highly responsible and independent position within the Family Support Division requiring the candidate to coordinate projects in accordance with Division policies and plans, industry best practices and the Project Management Body of Knowledge Guide. · As a team member, you will work closely with the Department of Social Services and Family Support Division executive leadership staff, state project managers, various business teams, business systems specialists, technical developers and system vendor(s) to support software implementation. · Assist and participate in quality and process improvement initiatives. · Develop, review, and track key project artifacts, deliverables and presentations including but not limited to kick-off documentation, process flows, project schedules and requirement documentation. · Evaluate and report project status, key risks, and issues to leadership and facilitate decision-making and resolution of issues. · Capture and track action items, risk and issue documentation, schedule project meetings, and manage detail-oriented notes in meetings. · Assist with the development of user stories, use cases, and business requirements. · Coordinate and/or assist with user acceptance testing efforts with solution vendor(s). · Independently lead small projects, portions of larger projects or process improvement initiatives with limited supervision. · Assist in the transition of the project implementation to operations. · Assist with the development of documentation required to secure federal funding. · Exercise good, professional judgement and initiative in the performance of duties, work well as a member of a team, and receive general administrative direction. · Other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed) Preferred Qualifications The person in this position should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: · Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Word and Excel. · Knowledge of Project Management tools, i.e. SharePoint, Jira, and Microsoft Project. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to work independently. · Background in facilitating meetings to stay on topic and agenda. · Experience interfacing with business owners, stakeholders, and contract vendors. · Demonstrate flexibility, strong organizational skills and discretion. · Strong interpersonal skills. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
